Wrayne Van Maarion

Wrayne is the Drafting Manager at Beck Engineering (BEL). He graduated from SAIT in 1999 with a Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology (EDDT). He offers 25 years of relevant experience working on oil and gas and industrial projects. He has been with BEL since 2009 and takes pride in growing the drafting group to the knowledgeable team of designers it is today.

Wrayne started his career as a civil and structural designer, with a focus on conventional oil and gas, midstream, SAGD, and waste management facilities. His depth of knowledge and broad range of brown field and green field experience are important components to his ability to mentor and effectively manage the drafting team. Wrayne’s passion lies in working with the team to understand the latest technologies and applications to produce CAD drawings and models with an emphasis on providing excellence in design and quality. People are the most important part of a business and Wrayne understands that providing a healthy work culture and the right tools are keys to success.

Outside of work, Wrayne looks forward to family adventures with his wife and two children. When life allows, he also enjoys watching live music and playing the drums.
